For this summer, Italian luxury jewelry house Pasquale Bruni chose the picturesque bay of Camogli to present its new LUCE collection to the Italian press. The selection of this location, as well as the collection’s name, is no coincidence: the Ligurian town holds a special place in the heart of Eugenia Bruni, the maison’s creative director.

Guests first enjoyed panoramic views from the terrace of the Hotel dei Dogi, where they could observe the natural inspirations behind Eugenia’s creations. Straight after, they had the opportunity to experience and touch the jewelry aboard the Dona Francisca – an extremely luxury sailing yacht measuring 52.5 meters in length.

“In nature, there is always a miracle of light that seeks our eyes.”

This very miracle, the magic of the sea touched by the first light of the day and the last light of evening, wrapped in the colors of sunset, inspired masterpieces crafted in gold and white diamonds. Resulting from intricate craftsmanship, the pieces are hemispherically shaped to gently caress the skin and capture the luminosity that inspired their creation. They can be worn on either side, offering two distinct effects: sunlight or moonlight, depending on whether one chooses the flat or convex surface.

Where present, the diamonds are set with prongs fashioned like tiny mirrors, recreating the movement of light as it reflects off a surface. Eugenia also introduces a new element in the form of a door knocker, reminiscent of a portal, both physically and metaphorically. This serves as a source of light, symbolizing transition and metamorphosis, much like life itself.

LUCE conveys a message of beauty, hope, and rebirth: core themes for both the brand and Eugenia. She graciously guided her guests through a moment of deep reflection, encouraging them to connect with the inner light that resides within us all, a light we sometimes need to be reminded of.
